TONY STOCKWELL - A review of the evening by Tanya Jennings

On 23rd January 2009 we held an evening of mediumship with Tony Stockwell, The event was held at The Henfield Hall and was a complete sell out of 280 seats.

It is the first time the current committee had held an event of this magnitude, and if I'm completely honest I was somewhat nervous about the whole thing! On my head be it if ANY thing went wrong!

Thankfully everything went according to plan, and the evening was complete success.

The committee arrived at around 6pm to ensure all was as it should be, with seating and lighting and tables set up ready to take tickets for when people started arriving.

Lynn Probert who tutors one of our development groups and also works for Tony at his studio arrived with books and cds of Tony's which he had very kindly agreed to sell and then stay and sign for people afterward if they wanted.

The Hall filled very quickly with people enjoying a drink from the bar before finding their seats, and I'm sure we could of sold half of the tickets again the demand was so high.

Tony worked in two halves with an interval for people to refresh with a drink and powdering of noses. During the interval Lynn was busy selling Tony's books and cds and we were all pleasantly surprised to find they were a virtual sell out!

Tony's demonstration of mediumship to me, was faultless and as a developing medium he is defiantly someone to look up to.

Tony's evidence of the afterlife was fantastic and he gave many wonderful messages, mixed with his unique sense of humor nobody felt left out even if they were not the recipient receiving the message.

Tony, I found was able to make every person within those walls feel involved and included, which I think is a rather special skill.

Keith our Chairman of the centre did a wonderful job introducing Tony on stage, and between him and Hazel, one of our committee members, they kept the microphones for the audience traveling freely to ensure all could hear the recipient's reply. Should of worn a step o meter that night!

I would like to thank ALL the committee for their support throughout organising this event which started more than a year before the actual evening ,without the backup from these special people, I would of lost the plot a long time ago! (Umm)

I would also like to thank all those who purchased the tickets, without them we would of raised no money at all.

Anyway, we did organise this event with the main purpose to raise money for charity which I am very please to say we did very successfully.

After expenses were met we raised £1500.00 and are donating the following amounts to the following charities;

£250.00 H.A.R.T (Henfield Area Response Team)

£250.00 Henfield Leisure Centre

£250.00 Childhelp Hassocks

£250.00 Brighton Greyhound Owners Association Retired Greyhound Trust

£500.00 Chestnut Tree House Hospice

I have been asked if we will repeat this event and Tony did say he would  be happy to return to Henfield at some point, so watch this space I might just undertake this all over again.......
